Celebrate today that as we study God’s Word (the Bible), we don’t have to worry about our inadequacies! Our task is not in ourselves but in God’s willingness to make Himself known to those who seek Him!!

(1) Read and discuss what the author of Hebrews wrote in his letter/sermon in Hebrews 11:6 about knowing God.

(2) Discuss ways God has made himself known by reading: Paul’s letter to the Romans in Romans 1:19-20, and David in Psalm 19:1.

(3) Discuss what Paul and David are talking about: God’s “general revelation” (this is accessible to all people at all times.) God has revealed himself, but our refusal to see Him is caused by our sin, our refusal to trust and obey God.

(4) Take a walk and talk about all the amazing things God has created—don’t forget to look in a mirror too!

Keep walking and talking on this discipleship journey with your kids! The questions above are to spark conversations, not lectures. Let them ask questions, let them know there are some things you won’t have answers to, but in this tension, you trust God is God, and you are not. If we understood everything, why would we need God?

If you are interested in a simple “journey guide” to discipling your children, sign up for this daily “All the Marbles” and it will come straight to your inbox.

I am praying for you and your family, and this journey together!
