All the Marbles Day 12

I was reminded yesterday, my intention with this daily post is NOT to give parents a ”program” to follow but to encourage and equip them to disciple their children.
For parents to walk and talk about their faith confidently, trusting the Spirit will guide their conversations and to equip parents/grandparents with conversation starters, not a program.
Also, to give my three girls tools to help them invest “all the marbles” in my (one day to be) grandkids. But above all, to glorify God in all that He has equipped me to do!
Days 1-9 walkthrough what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.
Days 10 and 11, we discuss that the Great Commission (found in the eyewitness account of Jesus’ life written by Matthew) Matthew 28:19 is a command for all believers and what baptizing means.
Today, let’s discuss what “teaching people to obey all I (Jesus) have commanded you” looks like!
(1) Pray together for each other and the world. For disciples everywhere to be a light that shines for Jesus. (2) Reread Matthew 28:19. Discuss what “teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you,” means to each of you. (3) Discuss how this is a lifetime of devotion to studying the Scriptures, and in investing in people around us (THAT INCLUDES OUR KIDS!!!), The job is never done! Learning about God is a life long process! Walking with others through joys and trials is a life long process. We never are finished with the disciple process—it is a journey, not a checklist! (4) As a family are we ready to commit to studying Scripture together and individually? Are we prepared to invest in each other for “all the marbles?”
If you are confused about how to talk to your kids about this or need someone praying for you, email me at equippingtomorrow@icloud.com, and I’ll be here to walk with you through this unique opportunity we have been given.
