All the Marbles Day 10

These 2 pictures are of my oldest daughter. One on the day she came into the world and one on the day she graduated. Each day was an amazing opportunity to invest in her, to disciple her. Some days were better than others, some seasons were better than others, but each day God gave me and her dad the opportunity—how are you using your opportunity to disciple your child? He is ultimately in charge and is the only one who can save your child, but His command is clear “go and make disciples!”
Invest today’s marble well!!
(1) Read Matthew 28. If our family had been walking with Jesus and we heard these words how would we react?
(2) Is Jesus’ great commission just for preachers and missionaries? Is it for us? How can we as parents disciple you, our children? How does our church help disciple us?
(3) Was your answer to 2 a list of programs? It’s far more than a program! It’s far more than reading this post!! It is the mission of our lives!! A disciple of Jesus is a disciple maker! That’s why this is a journey not a “one and done,” cross it off the list, move on to the next program/study/devo—it is a lifelong quest that starts with parents walking and talking with their children (disciples.)
If you are confused about how to talk to your kids about this or need someone praying for you email me at equippingtomorrow@icloud.com and I’ll be here to walk with you through this unique opportunity we have been given.
